The town of
Puerto Santiago is located on the south-west
coast of Tenerife, right between the holiday
resorts Los Gigantes and Playa de la Arena.

The beach in Puerto Santiago
Puerto Santiago has a small beach located in
a rocky bay. The beach has dark lava sand
mixed with rocks in some places. The water
is clear, but there are rocks some places
under the surface of the water.
There are no
facilities at the beach in Puerto Santiago,
so remember your sunshade, if you are used
to sitting in the shade.
It is rumoured
that the beach is to be extended, or that a
new beach is to be established in Puerto
Santiago, but so far it is still a rumour.
There is not much room to play and there are
rocks in the water. Apart from this, the
beach is relatively child-friendly.
There are no water sports facilities at the
beach in Puerto Santiago.
There are a few small restaurants on the way
to the beach. However, during the high
season, refreshments are sold right next to

two neighbouring towns, but it has a more
authentic Canary charm to it.
